Would You Sell an Organ to Pay Off Your Student Loans?

This is off the wall, but it has brought up extreme talk in this time of economic crisis.

Would you be willing to take into consideration selling a body organ to settle a person’s student loans or your young ones student loans ?
In Boston one parent put on craiglist: The ad, Do You Need a Live Cadaver? take my Body, was posted in the jobs wanted section of Boston Craigslist earlier this week.
A Boston parent said that they are willing to sell body parts to pay off their children's school debt. The poster offered up his or her body for anything legal or medically experimental to raise money to pay off their children s student loan debt. If you eliminate my children s student loans, I will give you my life! the poster wrote. The poster said they were 5 feet 10 inches tall, 200 pounds and have all their organs in working order. Take my blood, take my plasma. Drill into my brain, my leg, my arm. Tap my heart, my liver, my kidney, the poster writes, adding, I am very very serious. The poster, who did not include their name, exact location or gender, said the children's student loans total $200,000.
The story was reported by the Boston Channel. ‘Parent Offers Body Parts on Craigslist To Pay off Child s Student Loans’

According to Sue Rabbitt Roff, a Scots academic, she believes making it legal to sell the body part would boost the number of organs available to save lives and help students struggling with money. She pointed out that three people on the kidney transplant list die in the UK every day. "We allow family members and friends to donate to each other even if they are not genetically related," she said.
"So I don't think it's a very big step to offer the same level of medical service but also make a payment. The only difference is the issue of money. So what's so problematic about money?"
She pointed out the procedure only carried the same risks as an elective Caesarean section. "Isn't it very patronising for those of us who are well-off to make decisions for those of us who are not? People must be allowed to make their own decisions.

Young people, particularly from disadvantaged backgrounds, are being asked to take on huge debt to afford an education. Why can't they also have the right to be able to pay it back by selling an organ? Both side would be saving each other, one from financial ruin and the other from failing health. Selling organs to pay for student loans should be the individual's choice, and as long as everything was on the up and up, why wouldn't someone be allowed to do so?

I would do it! My family is currently facing financial ruin and will lose everything because I can't afford to pay back my student debts. Yes, I have tried everything allowed to me even taking on three different jobs at once. I'm exhausted and at the end of my rope. So, I would give of myself if it would not only save someone else, but save my family in the process as well!

Things to Remeber When Horse Packing in the Mountains

Going on a horse packing trip into the mountains is always an exciting time. You must think ahead and remember to pack things you will need while camping. The important things to remember or those things that you must do like packing your packs evenly so that the weight is distributed evenly on each side of the horse. Not only do you need food for yourself, but for your horses because you may not end up in an area with enough for your horses to graze on. Your pack, tie downs and blankets need to be of good quality so not to sore your horses. When unsaddling horse try to turn blankets upside down to air out and keep them off the ground if possible.

When your horses are left to graze make sure you hobble them or have them tied (drop line) that will allow them to move enough to graze. But keep in mind that some horse are able get untied and some are able to run in hobbles.

So,if you don't pay attention you may find yourself chasing your horses back home.

An Idea For the US Deficit

Intead of pulling money from here or there why not have a lottery for the US Deficit? Any one any where can buy a ticket and win a jackpot prize (money, house, car, bonds/stocks, trips) and the money from the sales would go to pay on the deficit.

I believe that if people knew it would help the country they would participate in a big way...especially if they are getting something in return.

Mule Wants What?

So, we went looking for the horses and the mules the other day. All them came when called except for Bo, a 16 hand mule, so we went looking for him. While looking for him, there was a cowelk running around acting strange.

When we found Bo we realized why....he stole her calf.

You can see where Bo was licking the top of it's head.

I can understand a molly stealing a calf, but a mule? Not to mention it was real hard trying to seperate him from the calf. Later when we let Bo go he ran to find his calf, but the cowelk had manage to get her calf and leave quickly. His bellowing was all we heard for hours, Bo was sad....

Outdoor Movie Theaters a Blast From the Past!

An outdoor movie theater is a wonderful way to spend an evening with friends. You can do them at parks, in a back yard and even on rooftops. It's becoming a summer time ritual to head to an outdoor theater and stake out a prime viewing spot before sunset. An experience to enjoy a movie, getting together with friends or neighborhoods and the open evening air.

You can put on your own outdoor screening. All you need is a multimedia projector, movie screen, sound system and DVD player. There are also companies like Fun Flicks that will come to your home and set up everything for you. There are even places to purchase items needed for set up such as http://backyardtheater.com/

To help things a long here's a how to video that can assist you in doing your own outdoor screenings.

Horse Packing in the Mountains.

There is nothing like going for a ride on a horse. Unless it's taking a packing trip into the mountains on a horse. You can find yourself in areas where no one else has been. Or you can adventure to high open place where only a select few people have been. You can look up horsestables to go riding, day packs, fishing high in the hills or even overnight pack trips.

Once you've tried horseback riding in the mountains you'll never be the same again. It makes you feel like you're back in the old west with just you and your surroundings to depend on. But don't forget it's even better to share that experience with friends and family.

Don't Let Summer Go By Without Going to the Rodeo!

Rodeo Fun to be had by all!

Summer is full of all sort of ways to have fun. Going to a Rodeo is just one way to enjoy the summer, but participating in one is even funner. There are those of you who love to watch and follow the rodeos around your areas. Then there are the men and women that participate in them travel all over to get the aquired points and money needed to place in the circuts. There are several circuts all over the country.

Getting to meet and talk with rodeo people, eat the food and watch on seats edge as to what might happen can be fun for all.

I always try to make it to the rodeo events around our area. Just within a 100 miles we have 4 rodeo events to attend. With each of them at different dates this makes it easy to at least attend one. Check your area for the rodeo events that you can attend...I'm sure you'll have a great experience!

JK Rowlings Harry Potter Series Ranks #1

JK Rowling's "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow's Part 2" made more money than any other movie franchise in history!

The "Harry Potter" movies have, of course, always done really well at the box office. Cumulatively the franchise has made more money than any other movie franchise in history! The eight films have made $2.223 billion, surpassing Star Wars $2.218 billion. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" sold more than $32 million in advance tickets. Warner Brothers says that's a pre-opening record.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" isn’t just breaking records, it’s breaking every record. It already holds the record for biggest midnight screening earner of all time and now it’s the biggest single day earner of all time too. On Friday Deathly Hallows: Part 2 made over $92 million in just one day. It surpassed the previous record held by "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" which had over $72 million single day total. Deathly Hallows: Part 2 has the record for biggest opening weekend of all time. The "Harry Potter" series is ending in a big way, and stands a very real chance of ending up as the biggest movie of all time.

One would say this is it for Harry Potter, but you never know what may be around the corner. JK Rowling has proven that she is a wonderful writer with a great imagination! She has also gone on to create a new "Potter World" called Pottermore you can check it out at: http://www.pottermore.com/
